Job summary

University of Arizona is seeking a Dining Services Attendant for the Cactus Grill on the Tucson campus. The role supports food preparation, serving, and sanitation with a focus on customer service and teamwork. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and replenishes serving lines and serves customers in food service unit.
• Serves items following portion control.
• Performs food preparation tasks such as sandwiches, salads and beverages using recipes.
• Cleans and processes fruits/vegetables and prepares various salads per recipes.
• Weighs, labels, dates and stores all food items.
• Operates and cleans food service equipment.
• Inventories area and completes required forms.
• Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work area.
• Stocks as needed.
• Greets and serves customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Takes suggestions and passes them on to the supervisor.
• Acts to solve problems wherever possible.
• Works harmoniously with coworkers.
