Job summary

Somerset Court of Mocksville is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and assist in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will support meal service, follow safety protocols, and work with staff to ensure a positive dining experience for residents, including accommodating special dietary needs.

A high school diploma is required; previous food service experience is welcome, and we offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Mandatory high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a food service role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: help prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans and requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness; wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident Support: assist with meal setup, serving, and positive dining experiences.
• Food Safety: follow safety protocols, proper storage, handling, and sanitation.
