Magna Cosma International is seeking a dimensional control specialist in California to lead programs from launch through production, ensuring metrology systems like CMM/Hexagon drive product conformance. You will interface with customers and internal teams to maintain dimensional specs and data-driven improvements.

The role requires years of metrology/programming experience, GD&T expertise, and certification in Zeiss/GOM tools, with a focus on quality targets and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Diploma/GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 7–10 years related experience or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience programming Zeiss/GOM scanning units.
• 2 years’ experience interpreting coordinate measurement reports.
• Zeiss/GOM programming certification preferred.
• Polyworks Inspect programming certification preferred.
• Experience in Statistical Process Control management.
• APQP knowledge preferred.
• GD&T knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface with customers and internal teams to ensure dimensional requirements are met and maintained.
• Lead development, launch, and ongoing oversight of dimensional control processes from program launch through series production.
• Program, operate, and support dimensional measurement systems and metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, Hexagon) to ensure product compliance.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to dimensional data from measurement equipment and in-process sensors, including daily process stability reviews.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and validation efforts for dimensional issues, ensuring timely closure and repeat issue prevention.
• Drive dimensional improvement initiatives to meet customer quality targets (PPM, incidents, RMAs) and support FMEA RPN reduction.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities, customer engagements, and interdepartmental studies while providing training and technical guidance to teams.
