Job summary

Janicki Industries seeks a Chief Engineer - Dimensional Engineering to serve as the technical authority for dimensional engineering, measurement science, and large-scale metrology. You will guide enterprise standards, lead tolerance analyses, and drive innovative measurement strategies across design, manufacturing, and verification.

The role requires a decade of experience, deep GD&T expertise, and proficiency with CMMs, laser trackers, and photogrammetry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years in dimensional engineering, metrology, or advanced manufacturing.
• Expert GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and functional dimensioning experience.
• Experience supporting large aerospace, tooling, or precision programs.
• Proficiency with Spatial Analyzer, CMMs, and laser trackers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for dimensional engineering and metrology.
• Develop standards for dimensional analysis, measurement planning, and verification.
• Lead resolution of complex dimensional issues across design and manufacturing.
• Provide guidance to improve manufacturability and inspection methods.
• Review drawings and GD&T schemes to ensure functional requirements.
• Develop measurement strategies using laser trackers, CMMs, and photogrammetry.
• Perform tolerance analysis, stack-up evaluation, and root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate to optimize inspection methodologies and datum strategies.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Maintain enterprise metrology standards and technical documentation.
