The Aspen Institute is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to igniting human potential through dialogue, leadership, and action. The Digital Storytelling Associate will produce video-first content for social media, web, and email, supporting the Institute’s overall content strategy.

Ideal candidates will shoot and edit video, identify compelling moments, and translate long-form conversations into engaging digital content while collaborating across departments to reflect the Aspen

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in digital storytelling, video production, social media, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience shooting and editing short-form digital video.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging short-form videos for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms.
• Capture video at events, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Edit long-form conversations into compelling social clips.
• Develop concepts for video-first storytelling that extend program reach.
• Publish content across the website, social channels, and email newsletters.
• Edit homepage and blog content as needed.
• Optimize web content for SEO to drive organic traffic.
• Organize and manage the video archive and digital asset library.
• Pitch fresh storytelling ideas and new formats.
