Caterpillar in Irving, TX is seeking a Vendor Management and Contracts professional to drive supplier governance, intake operations, contract reviews, and executive-level visibility across the vendor lifecycle.

You will partner with business, Purchasing, Legal and Finance teams to review SOWs, renewals, amendments, NDAs and MSAs for completeness and commercial alignment, while leading VMO workflows, risk assessments, reporting and escalation processes.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional experience in sales, business development, account management, supplier management or a related field.
• Substantial equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Strong negotiating and commercial acumen required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and partner across functions.

Responsabilités

• Leads the resolution of supplier, contract, SOW, and project intake issues by coordinating with business partners, Purchasing, Legal, Finance, and project intake issues by coordinating with business partners. Develops and improves VMO workflows, VIDA intake processes, review checklists, approval paths, templates, reporting methods, and escalation routines.
• Analyzes the existing supplier networks to assess their capability of meeting business objectives; recommending new vendors in terms of capacity. Evaluates supplier engagements, project volume, renewal timelines, spend exposure, concentration risk, aging requests, and supplier alignment with business needs.
• Partners with business, supplier, purchasing and legal teams to review SOWs, renewals, amendments, NDAs/NDSAs, and MSAs for completeness, commercial alignment, risk, scope clarity, deliverables, funding alignment, acceptance criteria, and governance requirements.
• Manages vendor intake and VMO project flow by tracking request status, ownership, aging items, blockers, risks, escalations, next steps, and leadership reporting needs.
