Job summary

Trane Technologies in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Senior Digital Program Manager to lead Thermo King Digital products through structured stage gates and Agile development. You will ensure customer requirements, timelines, and budgets are met while guiding teams toward successful execution in a hybrid work model.

The role requires experience in large program management and a background in product development, IoT, or telematics. PMP certification is preferred and travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business or similar technical discipline and at least 7 years experience in project management, product management, or product development.
• Experience leading and managing New Product Development or Agile programs is required.
• PMP Certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with IoT applications, telematics, or electrical sensor hardware is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create program scope, objectives and risk assessment with management and business leaders.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Product Owners to align requirements with objectives.
• Anticipate issues and drive countermeasures to meet program goals.
• Direct and coordinate activities of program personnel to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Resolve team dynamics issues to ensure effective performance.
• Manage intra-program dependencies and their impact on other programs.
• Drive planning and implementation of multiple programs across the organization.

Work Schedule

Where is the work: Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires. The Senior Digital Program Manager will lead Thermo King Digital products to market through structured stage gate and Agile development processes. You will ensure new products meet specific customer requirements, program goals, timelines and budgets. A key deliverable is to follow best practices and drive teams towards project execution. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (4 or more days onsite a week) and will be based out of our Minneapolis, MN location.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with management and business leaders to create program scope, objectives and risk assessment.


• Works closely with Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Product Owners to ensure requirements align with program objectives.


• Anticipates issues and drives countermeasures to ensure programs meet intended objectives.


• Directs and coordinates activities of program personnel to ensure programs progress on schedule and within budget while meeting established customer requirements.


• Resolves people and team dynamic issues for the effective performance of the program team in completing their assignments.


• Manages intra-program dependencies and their interrelationships, and their impact upon other programs and projects.


• Drives the planning and implementation of multiple programs across the organization.


• Works with team to implement and continuously improve the Trane Technologies Product Development Processes.


• Must be able to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to integrate business, marketing, and technical elements of a new product development program, including anticipating issues and driving countermeasures and issues to closure.


• Self-starter with a desire to make a significant impact on the product development process.


• Courage to raise issues to upper management when a program is at risk.


• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


• Proven experience leading cross functional teams.


• Experience with project management software.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $133,633.33 - $186,830.00 Compensation Type: Salary Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
