Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented project coordinator to administer projects from inception through delivery, coordinating with Sales, Operations, legal and finance to ensure contract compliance and timely billing. The role is on site with Monday–Thursday work days and Fridays flexible by location.

Requires Associate degree up to 2 years’ related experience, strong communication, and proven ability to meet tight deadlines; familiarity with financial systems and basic accounting is

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with up to 2 years related experience.
• Strong communication skills and proactive, independent teamwork.
• Strong problem solving, decision making, and judgment.
• Experience prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines.
• Experience with financial systems and basic accounting preferred.
• Construction law knowledge is a plus.
• HVAC familiarity preferred.
• Flexibility for overtime and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard work and processes using enterprise systems.
• Coordinate project transitions from Sales to Operations in ERP.
• Administer projects to ensure contract compliance and delivery.
• Coordinate with regional leadership, contract management, legal, and finance.
• Manage procurement per project requirements.
• Handle material ordering and issue purchase orders/subcontracts.
• Coordinate monthly customer invoicing and timely billing.
• Record project costs (time sheets, forecasts, invoices).
• Review billing backlog with PMs, BAS, HVAC techs and customers.

Where is the work: Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

What you will do:

• Follow establish standard work and processes, utilizing several enterprise systems.
• Coordinate the transition of projects from Sales to Operations within enterprise business systems.
• Administer projects throughout entire life cycle to ensure contract compliance and successful delivery.
• This includes coordination with regional leadership, contract management, legal, and financial services.
• Manage procurement processes per project requirements.
• With guidance from Project Manager and Area Service Manager, handle material ordering/tracking, issue purchase orders and subcontracts to qualified vendors.
• Coordinate monthly customer invoicing process per customer requirements and Area service manager direction to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Coordinate with project team members for accurate and timely recording of project costs, including time sheets, forecasting assistance, vendor invoices, utilizing project reports, etc.
• Reviews billing backlog and coordinates/communicates with Project Managers, BAS and HVAC Field Technicians, customers, and Trane claims as necessary to resolve obstacles.

What you will bring:

• Associate's degree and up to two (2) years of related experience and/ or training;
• or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks such as problem solving, decision making, rational thinking, and exercising good judgement.
• Experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience with financial systems and basic accounting, including accounts receivable and accounts payable, an asset.
• Construction law and regulation knowledge is an asset.
• Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems preferred not required.
• Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$54,751.66 - $76,929.99
