Descripción del empleo

Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, now and in the future, on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate to work on site 4 days per week in one of the specified locations.

Schwab’s Workplace Services (WS) supports retirement, stock plan, and designated brokerage services for corporations and their employees. EquiView, Schwab’s proprietary stock plan recordkeeping system, serves corporate Stock Plan Services (SPS) clients. As EquiView scales, the WS Digital Product Management team seeks a Senior Digital Product Owner with equity compensation financial reporting experience (ASC 718/IFRS 2) to lead high-impact enhancements for corporate B2B clients, partnering across Product, Technology, Reporting, Risk/Compliance, and Client Services.

You will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that advance Schwab’s enterprise equity compensation platform, emphasizing financial reporting and client outcomes. You will drive major product enhancements, large-scale client initiatives, system and data migrations, and regulatory changes. Operating with high autonomy, you will navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders, and deliver measurable business value.

The ideal candidate combines strategic product leadership, execution excellence, and hands‑on equity compensation financial reporting experience (e.g., ASC 718 and IFRS 2), and can translate complex accounting, operational, and client requirements into scalable product capabilities for internal teams and external clients.

You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Reporting, Client Services, Compliance, and other stakeholders to set priorities, manage dependencies and risk, and deliver high-quality solutions that support Schwab’s equity compensation business and client objectives.

What You’ll Do
  • Leadership & Execution – Lead end-to-end delivery for complex, multi-release initiatives across EquiView, including financial reporting enhancements and regulatory- and business-driven updates. Own plans and outcomes: scope, timeline, dependencies, risk, resourcing, and stakeholder alignment. Drive UAT strategy and execution (planning, coordination, communications, and sign-off) and ensure operational readiness for launch.
  • Partner with product owners, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment to define problems, clarify requirements, and deliver incrementally balancing near‑term commitments with longer‑term platform strategy.
  • Client & Partner Focus – Partner with business stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria, refine backlog items, and ensure requirements are testable and executable. Work directly with Engineering and QA to support solution design, clarify functional behavior, and resolve complex platform issues. Collaborate with Reporting, Client Services, Conversion, Product Support, and Operations to support client readiness, training, and post‑launch adoption.
  • Strategy – Contribute to the product vision and roadmap for EquiView financial reporting and recordkeeping capabilities by combining market/regulatory awareness with internal stakeholder insights. Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce operational risk, and improve scalability for clients and internal teams.
  • Outcomes – Define success measures (quality, timeliness, adoption, and risk reduction) and drive delivery from discovery through launch. Ensure solutions are well‑documented, supportable, and aligned to client needs and Schwab operational controls.
What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in equity compensation, stock plan administration, and/or equity systems operations.
  • Deep understanding of ASC 718 and/or IFRS 2; familiarity with relevant IRS/SEC requirements (e.g., Section 16) and ESPP concepts.
  • Experience working with equity plan financial reporting platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex issues across data, process, and technology
  • High attention to detail with the ability to drive work from concept through implementation and stabilization
  • Demonstrated track record of predictable delivery, proactive risk management, and clear stakeholder communication
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience participating in cross functional projects, with an emphasis on systems, technologies, business process redesign and/or impact to field and customer service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional stock plan and product management skills - ability to synthesize data and stakeholder feedback into insights and actions.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager (or equivalent experience leading backlog, roadmap delivery, and cross‑functional outcomes).
  • Current EquiView financial reporting product experience is highly valued.
  • Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Agile, or equivalent).
  • CEP or ECA certification or equivalent experience.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonuses or incentive opportunities.
