Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking a Staff Digital Mixed-Signal Systems Engineer to develop, model, and verify digitally implemented mixed-signal data paths for power management products used in AI, datacenter, and HPC applications.

You will work across systems, digital design, firmware, verification, validation, applications, and analog teams to translate requirements into executable models and RTL specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in digital design, mixed-signal systems, DSP, or related product development.
• Strong understanding of DSP concepts, fixed-point arithmetic, sampling, timing, and quantization.
• Experience translating system requirements into digital implementation and verification criteria.
• Experience with behavioral modeling, data analysis, simulation, or automation using Python, MATLAB, C/C++, SystemVerilog.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital mixed-signal data paths for power controllers and related products.
• Design and evaluate front-end DSP functions that condition, scale, and route sensed data.
• Define requirements for ADC interfaces including sampling, timing, and calibration.
• Create executable models and emulation representations for early evaluation.
• Translate system requirements into RTL and fixed-point formats and verification criteria.
• Collaborate with analog, firmware, verification, and applications teams across the project.
