Job summary

L’AGENCE in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Merchandiser to own ecommerce merchandising strategy, from seasonal launches to daily product presentation. You’ll balance inventory-driven marketing with catalog quality, navigation, and conversion goals.

Reports to the director of ecommerce and guides the Ecommerce Coordinator. 5+ years in ecommerce merchandising and strong analytics are required, with Shopify experience preferred. This is a full-time on-site role in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ecommerce merchandising or digital merchandising experience, preferably in fashion or apparel.
• Strong analytical skills with sales, inventory, and web analytics data (Excel, Looker, or similar).
• Experience with a product information or catalog system and an ecommerce platform such as Shopify.
• Working knowledge of inventory planning, sell-through, and markdown strategy.
• Strong written communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, marketing, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute ecommerce launches for seasonal collections and capsule drops in partnership with design, planning, and merchandising teams.
• Build integrated campaign strategies with marketing and creative to highlight product stories and drive sales.
• Own the ecommerce merchandising calendar and align it with inventory flow and promotions.
• Monitor inventory and sell-through and recommend placements, promotions, and markdown actions to optimize sell-through.
• Set onsite merchandising strategy for homepage, category pages, navigation, filters, and product placement.
• Analyze site, search, and product performance to improve navigation, search results, conversion, and AOV.
• Define standards for product setup, including attributes, imagery, pricing, and categorization; review launch readiness.
• Brief creative teams on digital assets needed for launches, homepage updates, emails, and paid media.
• Direct product storytelling for site and email in partnership with marketing.
• Report on campaign and category performance with recommendations to improve conversion and margins.
• Benchmark competitor sites and promotions to inform strategy.
• Serve as liaison between ecommerce, design, marketing, planning, and operations to keep launches on time.
• Advise on UX upgrades to drive conversion and AOV, like category entry points on PLP.

Job Summary

The Senior Merchandiser owns ecommerce merchandising strategy for L’AGENCE, from seasonal launch planning to the daily onsite product experience. The role combines the work of a merchandise manager (launches, inventory-driven marketing, campaign alignment) with that of a merchandiser (catalog quality, navigation, search, and product presentation) to drive sales, sell-through, and conversion. Reports to the director of ecommerce and guides the Ecommerce Coordinator.

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and execute ecommerce launches for seasonal collections, categories, and capsule drops in partnership with design, planning, and merchandising teams.
• Build integrated campaign strategies with marketing and creative that highlight key product stories and drive sales.
• Own the ecommerce merchandising calendar and align it with inventory flow, category priorities, and promotional moments.
• Monitor inventory and sell-through to identify high-priority and at-risk styles, then recommend placement, promotion, and markdown actions to optimize sell-through.

• Define standards for product setup, including attributes, imagery, pricing, and categorization, and review launch readiness with the Ecommerce Coordinator.

• Direct product storytelling for site and email in partnership with marketing.
• Report on campaign and category performance with clear recommendations to improve conversion, inventory management, and margin.

• Coach and delegate to the Ecommerce Merchandise Coordinator, setting priorities and reviewing work.

Physical Requirements

• This position is an office position that requires frequent use of a computer, mouse and keyboard.
