Job summary

AmeriCorps, through Third Act: A Purposeful Retirement at CMAP in Princeton, seeks volunteers to empower older adults to engage with technology and the community. You will help build connections, teach digital skills, and support social programs across New Jersey.

As a Digital Literacy FT member, you’ll gain hands-on experience in intergenerational work, program planning, and nonprofit outreach while earning an education award and living allowance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in program planning, education, or community outreach is desirable.
• Ability to teach or coach older adults in digital literacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• AmeriCorps members will serve as digital literacy coaches focused on helping older adults build confidence with technology.
• Provide one-on-one coaching and lead workshops on using tablets, smartphones, email, video calling, and other digital tools.
• Offer tech support in CMAP’s Technology Learning Center and at community sites; assist with troubleshooting personal devices.
• Support older adults with in-person and hybrid CMAP programs and setup.
