Job summary

Texas Instruments in Dallas is seeking an experienced digital design engineer to define and implement the digital portion of battery gauge mixed-signal SOCs, translating system intent into micro-architecture, RTL, and production-ready hardware.

You will collaborate with system, analog, verification, and product teams to own block-level specs and drive designs from concept through validation into mass production, delivering reliable, high-performance silicon.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant digital design experience.
• Thorough understanding of digital logic design.
• Experience with the full digital flow, RTL to GDSII.
• Familiarity with Verilog and digital simulators.
• Prior experience developing digital for embedded controller products.
• Strong scripting skills and a drive to automate.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, and SPMI interfaces.
• SystemVerilog knowledge and DV concepts (UVM, testbenches, assertions).

Responsibilities

• Define digital micro-architecture specifications with system/analog design; implement RTL.
• Lead RTL-to-GDSII flow and guide team members through it.
• Collaborate with Design Verification, Validation, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering for smooth production transfer.
• Interface with stakeholders to understand design requirements and lead technical discussions.
• Explore opportunities to optimize and evolve digital architectures over time.
