GeoLogics is looking for a Senior Digital Hardware Designer in Scottsdale, AZ. This role demands a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years of experience, with expertise in multi-layer PCB design and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will engage in innovative solution delivery and support company strategies while mentoring less experienced engineers. Familiarity with Mentor design tools is preferred. This is a long-term position with a competitive hourly rate of up to $92/hr.

Senior Digital Hardware Designer

Client: Defense-Aerospace

Hourly Rate: up to $92/hr (W2, non-benefited)

Length: Long-term

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Clearance: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.

• Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance.
• Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet changing business needs.
• Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the company culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
• Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure our services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and/or direction to lower level designers.

Required Skills

• Experience with schematic capture
• Extensive experience designing multi-layer Printer Circuit Boards with controlled impedance layers and blind micro-vias
• Able to analyze and test for signal integrity, crosstalk, etc.
• Familiar with several families of Micro Processors, Micro Controllers, FPGAs and System-on-Chips
• Demonstrates initiative on assignments, exercises strong independent judgment
• Able to technically lead/mentor less senior engineers

Desired Skills

• Preferred experience with Mentor design tools
• High Reliability or Space experience
• Experience with Worst Case Analysis, Stress Analysis

Required Education and Experience

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
