Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Syracuse is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware to lead the design of advanced digital hardware, FPGA, and high-speed electronic systems for DoD sensing technologies.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, develop FPGA solutions using VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx platforms, and assist with board design, testing, and production support across the full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and lab equipment.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, DSP, and communication architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
