Job summary

Aquent is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Redmond, WA to own the complete lifecycle of complex digital PCBs. You will define high‑speed interfaces, manage clocks and resets, and lead lab bring‑up with rigorous signal‑integrity analysis to ensure robust hardware.

You will collaborate across cross‑functional teams, translate datasheets into solid design decisions, and drive manufacturing readiness through thorough documentation and test plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with hands‑on digital hardware design experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of a complex digital board from schematic through bring‑up and validation.
• Strong fundamentals in high‑speed digital design and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete lifecycle of complex digital board designs from schematic to validation.
• Define high‑speed interfaces, pin planning, and interface budgeting.
• Lead clocking, resets, boot/configuration, and general I/O for the digital subsystem.
• Perform SI analysis (pre/post layout) and translate results into routing constraints.
• Collaborate with layout on dense, high‑pin‑count devices and bring‑up procedures.
• Debug in the lab with high‑speed instrumentation and structured methodologies.
• Document results and drive root‑cause analysis for failures and edge cases.
• Support integration with firmware/software and contribute to manufacturability.
