Job summary

Viperion Tech Llc is seeking a CI Digital Forensic Examiner to support NGA missions in Springfield, VA. The role involves producing weekly status reports and final forensic analyses, with deep expertise in digital media acquisition and cyber threat investigations.

Applicants should have 7+ years in CI investigations, DoD/IC familiarity, and IA certifications. Expect rigorous reporting, briefings to leadership, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years forensic experience in CI investigations.
• Must obtain digital forensics certification within 6 months of assignment.
• DoD 8570 IA requirements: IA III certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly status updates and forensic reports.
• Perform digital media acquisition and review on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS systems using forensic tools.
• Investigate suspected computer, mobile, and network penetrations.
• Ingest media into an archive and use media forensics tools (ENCASE, WFT) for examinations.
• Prepare for and present forensic findings to government leads and managers.
