Job summary

Viperion Tech, LLC in Springfield, VA is seeking a senior Cyber Threat Analyst to lead reporting excellence, CI cyber support, and malware threat programs. You will collaborate with NGA teams and external partners to analyze threats, prepare forensic reports, and guide incident response activities.

Ideal candidates hold TS/SCI, 7+ years in network analysis, and DoD IA/CI certifications; a STEM degree and DoD CI training are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of network analysis experience.
• Ability to decipher and understand network artifacts.
• Must obtain DoD 8570.01-M IA requirements and IA III certification within 12 months.
• Credentialed graduate of a DoD CI training academy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
• DoD Cyber Crimes Investigator certification.
• Post‑graduate STEM degree (preferred).
• Experience with malware analysis.
• Knowledge of foreign adversaries’ security and threats to US Gov.
• Ability to coach teammates and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Reporting Excellence & Process Adherence with timely reports.
• Provide Comprehensive CI Cyber Support for forensic reports and monthly/quarterly/annual threat reports.
• Conduct Threat Detection and Analysis via data/log review and IDS evaluation.
• Investigate Malicious Code to identify attack vectors and mitigation actions.
• Develop Requirements and Document Best Practices from stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with NGA teams and external IC/Cyber community members.
• Lead Malware Threat Awareness and Program Development with cross‑organization partners.
