Job summary

Peraton seeks a Digital Design SME in the McLean, VA area to serve as a technical advisor across critical SI/SETA activities. You will interface with customers, developers, and end users to ensure robust requirements, execution, and deployment readiness.

Expect on-site work with travel up to 25% as projects demand. You will lead design analysis, advise on RTL-to-GDS processes, and coordinate with multiple teams to deliver secure, reliable capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or related field; advanced degree acceptable with experience.
• Experience in Intel/Defense industries is preferred.
• Ability to educate/train others in digital design and RTL-to-GDS.
• Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools.
• Understanding of design flow: entry, synthesis, place-and-route, analysis, phys ver, tape-out.
• Experience with Verilog, VHDL, TCL scripting.
• Experience integrating third-party IP into designs.
• Experience collaborating with foundries for fabrication and design kits.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Advisor to customers, stakeholders, and development teams.
• Provide policy guidance and resource advocacy for technical and operational support.
• Lead on ASIC/FPGA design concepts, workflows, and integration strategies.
• Draft, review, and brief key stakeholders on designs and progress.
• Promote synchronization across multiple projects and teams.
• Translate customer needs into new developments and capabilities.
• Lead security, reliability, and integration/interoperability planning.
• Lead and manage project teams and initiatives.
• Occasional on-site work Monday–Friday with up to 25% travel.
