Job summary

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works is seeking a Senior Digital Content Specialist to lead social media and internal/external communications. You will create graphics and assets, manage campaigns, and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain a strong, consistent brand voice.

You’ll produce content for multiple platforms, craft engaging captions, and oversee monthly calendars while supporting events and communications across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business, public relations, English, journalism, graphic design, website design or related field.
• At least four years of increasing responsibility with content development and digital marketing campaigns.
• Experience with social media management tools like Sprout Social and native analytics.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and project management ability.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Create graphics and branded assets for social media, advertising, internal comms and product support per brand guidelines.
• Draft and design messages and graphics for employee engagement, onboarding, safety, training, benefits and total rewards communications.
• Develop and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and LinkedIn and tailor to audiences.
• Write engaging captions with hooks and calls-to-action in platform-appropriate tone.
• Build monthly content calendars aligned with company goals and coordinate post workflows.
• Monitor comments and messages, engaging with audiences to inform and build community.
• Assist with budget management for paid search and social media campaigns.
• Shoot and edit photos or short-form video for social media and BIW websites.
