Job description

The Pearson+ Content Team is on a mission to build the world’s most helpful video courses to help millions of students succeed in their classes. We are looking for someone to join our Math & Stats Team to lead the development of, and be the main instructor in, a set of comprehensive video courses for Mathematics.

Required Experience and Skills :

1. Can explain complex concepts in a clear, effective, and engaging manner.
2. Has very high standards for work products and high attention to detail.
3. Can effectively give and receive feedback to improve team’s work products.
4. Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Is highly dependable in managing workload and completing work efficiently.
6. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
7. Can use a quiet area at home for recording (all equipment provided by Pearson).

Preferred Experience and Skills :

1. Significant recent experience teaching or tutoring college or high school students.
2. Experience in developing curricula, assessments, or educational publishing.
3. Experience creating educational video content.
4. Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
5. Experience in collaborative team environments focused on improving work products.
6. Familiarity with video recording equipment and software, or willingness to learn.
7. Experience engaging with students on social media.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Co-lead the development of Math video courses from Pre-Algebra to Calculus.
2. Plan curricula and individual lessons.
3. Write lesson worksheets and problems, and record lessons and problems.
4. Set and pursue team goals at various intervals.
5. Provide and receive feedback to enhance team output.
6. Assist in hiring, training, and process improvements.
7. Attend regular meetings between 9am-5pm EST for planning and revisions.
8. Perform additional duties as needed.

Compensation & Benefits :

Salary Range: $80,000 to $110,000 per year.

Salary is influenced by skills, experience, and location. The anticipated range is $80,000 to $100,000 annually, with eligibility for an annual incentive program.
