Job description

The Pearson+ Content Team is on a mission to build the world’s most helpful video courses to support millions of students in their academic success. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Math & Stats Team as the lead instructor for a comprehensive set of video courses in Mathematics.

Remote

REQUIRED Experience and Skills :

1. Ability to explain complex concepts clearly, effectively, and engagingly.
2. High standards for work quality and meticulous attention to detail.
3. Effective feedback exchange skills to enhance team output.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Dependability in managing workload and completing tasks efficiently.
6. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
7. Ability to use a quiet area at home for recording (all equipment provided by Pearson).

PREFERRED Experience and Skills :

1. Recent experience teaching or tutoring college or high school students.
2. Experience in curriculum development, assessments, or educational publishing.
3. Experience creating educational video content.
4. Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
5. Experience working collaboratively to improve work products.
6. Familiarity with video recording equipment and software, or willingness to learn.
7. Engagement with students on social media platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Co-lead the development of Math video courses from Pre-Algebra to Calculus and beyond.
2. Assist in planning curricula and individual lessons.
3. Contribute to writing lesson worksheets, problems, and recording lessons.
4. Help set and achieve team goals on various timeframes.
5. Participate in feedback processes to improve team outputs.
6. Contribute to hiring, training, and process improvements.
7. Attend regular meetings scheduled between 9am-5pm EST for planning and revisions.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits :

Salary range: $80,000 to $110,000 annually, influenced by skills, experience, and location.
