PLUS Communications in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Associate to join our fast-growing digital practice. The role focuses on creating compelling content, managing social channels, and supporting digital campaigns for advocacy campaigns and organizations.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with in-office and remote work, and a budgeted salary around market rate for digital communications roles in the Washington, DC area with potential for a year-end bonus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, public affairs and/or political campaign work.
• Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to deliver error-free short form and long form content tailored to specific client needs.
• Experience with organic social media management and digital strategy.
• Website content management using WordPress.

Responsibilities

• Prepare editorial calendars factoring in cultural and current events and identify links to clients’ issues.
• Draft compelling social media content for major networks like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
• Draft blog posts and longer-form content with appropriate voice and tone for clients.
• Proof-read team members’ work and ensure content is error-free.
• Collaborate with Graphic Design to provide design collateral for clients (logos, one-pagers, social graphics).
• Coordinate with Digital Advertising to submit plan requests, traffic new campaigns and prepare client reports.
