Job summary

EY is seeking a digital asset assurance professional to join our Digital Asset Research Center in the US. You will design and perform audit procedures over blockchain assets, interpret on‑chain data, and translate technical findings into clear audit conclusions for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in external audit, assurance, or related professional services.
• CPA certification or eligibility with progress toward passing CPA exams.
• Strong understanding of audit fundamentals, risk assessment, and controls.
• Experience auditing public companies, banks, digital asset exchanges, or financial services.
• Experience using audit documentation software.
• Foundational blockchain knowledge: wallets, transactions, DeFi concepts, custody models.
• Ability to analyze blockchain data and reconcile on‑chain activity with client records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical writing and client presentations.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted digital asset assurance SME for audit engagements with material digital asset exposure.
• Design and execute audit procedures over digital assets (existence, valuation, rights, obligations, disclosures).
• Lead digital asset evaluations, including research, documentation, and risk assessment.
• Interpret blockchain data and verify on‑chain activity to obtain audit‑ready evidence.
• Translate technical concepts into clear audit conclusions with risk assessments and scoping.
• Develop and enhance tooling, methodologies, and best practices to improve audit quality.
• Stay up to date on trends, regulatory frameworks, and new practices in digital assets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
