Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Digital ASIC Architect to drive digital IC designs from concept through delivery. You will collaborate with analog and digital designers to optimize architectures, verify through modeling and simulation, and produce thorough design documentation.

Responsibilities include leading small technical teams, mentoring engineers, performing SOC trades between analog, digital, and software, and communicating progress to leadership and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in ASIC hardware engineering or related field.
• Proven ability to lead small technical teams.
• Proficient in SystemVerilog, SV-RNM, Verilog-AMS.
• Cadence or equivalent tool proficiency (Genus, Innovus, Tempus, Voltus).

Responsibilities

• Drive IC-based solutions to complex problems.
• Define IC requirements from customer needs.
• Design and simulate circuits with MATLAB, Simulink, SystemVerilog, SystemC.
• Mentor circuit designers and adjust requirements.
• Perform SOC design trades across analog, digital, and software.
• Evaluate hardware vs software implementation costs/benefits.
• Lead design reviews and communicate with leadership.
