Job summary

Apple Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks a Digital ASIC Architect for the Motion Sensing Hardware team.

You will own the digital architecture of motion sensing ASICs from concept through silicon, translating requirements into realizable systems built around processors, DSPs and custom engines. Collaborate with circuit design, firmware, algorithms, software and product teams to deliver best-in-class sensing experiences across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods and Vision Pro.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep expertise in digital ASIC architecture for sensor or mixed-signal systems.
• Proven track record of defining and taping out high-volume ICs from architecture through production.
• Strong foundation in system-level design and hardware/firmware partitioning.

Responsibilities

• Define the digital architecture for motion-sensing ASICs from concept to silicon.
• Build high-level models in MATLAB, Python, or SystemC to prove architecture.
• Author IP-level and IC-level specifications for design and verification.
• Collaborate with circuit design, firmware, algorithms, software and product teams.
• Lead architecture reviews with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Drive bring-up to mass production and tape-out readiness.
