Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Senior Diffusion Process Engineer (Evergreen) to start up, develop, and optimize diffusion processes that improve product quality, yield, cost, and productivity. You will work with multi‑functional teams to tackle complex process issues and implement robust solutions.

The role requires hands‑on work, strong collaboration, and a deep interest in semiconductor manufacturing. Travel for onboarding and training is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience as Process Owner within Diffusion
• BS or MS in engineering or equivalent military experience / AAS with 5+ years
• Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training

In this role you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing diffusion processes to improve product quality, yield, cost, productivity, and risk management while resolving manufacturing line problems. You will work closely with multi‑functional teams to tackle process issues and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and yield. Your passion for engineering and willingness to learn will help us overcome the challenges of this fast‑paced industry. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, values collaboration, and is eager to dive deep into the technical aspects of semiconductor manufacturing.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience working as Process Owner within Diffusion.
• BS or Masters in an engineering field, equivalent military experience or AAS with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a meticulous approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in data science and programming skills.
