Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Design Release Engineer for Differentials to lead the requirements, development, integration and release of differential systems for next-generation vehicles. You will bridge concept design, supplier management, vehicle integration and mass production across open, LSD, and disconnect differential architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on drivetrain, axle, or transmission engineering experience with differential design/release.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (CATIA V5/V6, NX) and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Author and manage SOR for Drive Unit Differential technologies, lead supplier assessments to SOR through sourcing; manage ECRs, BOMs, and specifications in PLM.
• Lead/support supplier technical reviews, assessments, and adherence to SOR; collaborate across functions.
