Job summary

Idaho Division of Veterans Services in Post Falls is recruiting for a full-time Dietary Aide Senior at the State Veterans Home. You will prepare, portion, and serve homestyle meals and snacks for veterans, working in a bustling team environment.

The role requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and to follow dietary cards and safety procedures. Prior kitchen experience and a team-first attitude are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
• Good knowledge of sanitation and safety practices in food handling.
• Experience with operating and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Experience with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas.
• Criminal history background check after a conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation for salads, vegetables, beverages, snacks, and modified diets; operate related appliances.
• Food serving and area preparation including dining setup and portioning for serving lines.
• Cleaning and sanitation of floors, surfaces, equipment, and dishwashing; monitor temperatures and cleanliness.
