Job summary

Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team. The role supports meal preparation and service, ensuring a clean, sanitary dining environment for residents of a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities include assisting with meal setup, timely delivery, and helping residents with eating as needed, while following safety and sanitation guidelines and infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or healthcare is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Lift up to 25 pounds.
• Adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to menus and dietary restrictions.
• Set up dining areas and maintain cleanliness before, during, and after meals.
• Deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Assist residents with eating as needed, providing support and encouragement.
• Sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas per health regulations.
• Stock and replenish food and supplies as directed.
• Report resident concerns or dietary issues to supervision.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
