Job summary

SpartanNash, part of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family, seeks an experienced maintenance mechanic in Midland, GA to inspect, diagnose and repair diesel semi-trucks and trailers. You will follow safety protocols, document work, and coach junior technicians in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires 6+ years of related experience, a valid license, and the ability to work weekends and extended shifts. Training for SpartanNash certification is provided.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• 6+ years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must provide and maintain essential mechanic tools and toolbox.
• SpartanNash certification for safe driving skills (training provided).
• Diagnose and repair trailer ABS systems, braking components, electrical systems, suspension, axle assemblies, landing gear, liftgate hydraulics.
• Perform DOT inspections and maintain repair documentation.
• Mentor entry-level technicians.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel semi-trucks and trailers.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coach and support less experienced team members.
• Coordinate with supervisor on work orders and priorities.
• Document maintenance and repairs in the maintenance system.
