Job summary

FleetPride, the nation’s largest distributor of heavy duty parts, seeks a Technician III to lead preventive maintenance, diagnose complex failures, and guide junior technicians. You will perform advanced adjustments, repairs, and component replacements with focus on safety and quality.

A strong emphasis on training and troubleshooting is expected. In this role you’ll handle diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems, with hands-on use of specialized tooling.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree and 7+ years of experience with Class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Experience repairing 53’ trailers.
• Training experience with shop staff.
• Diagnostic and welding experience.
• Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes and related components.
• Diagnose vehicle systems and suggest accurate repairs.
• Train new technicians on company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Test drive vehicles and verify component operation.
• Review service orders for completeness and quality.
