Penske Truck Leasing in Ventura, CA is seeking an experienced Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll diagnose issues, repair major components, and log work using Penske’s tools, while mentoring others and learning from supervision.

This on-site role emphasizes safety, reliability, and growth, with competitive pay, shift premium, and comprehensive training across OEM equipment.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experience using welding and diagnostic equipment; hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
