Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Ventura, CA, seeks a Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diversified fleet. You’ll diagnose issues, mentor junior techs, and log work using Penske tools while maintaining a safe, efficient shop environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Ace diagnosed issues with engines/transmissions/differentials; ASE and 608/609 preferred.
• Proficient with diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and keep vehicles safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision and timely.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs, incl. basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
