Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions Inc. in Dallas, TX seeks a Diesel Technician Lead to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. You will run diagnostic tests, guide junior technicians, and perform complex tasks such as transmission and third member assembly work.

The role requires strong problem-solving, adherence to safety, and the ability to provide repair guidance to the team. Monday–Friday shift with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair preferred.
• 5+ years of professional, progressive experience as a diesel technician.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and repairs on company vehicles and machines.
• Use hand tools and powered equipment to repair trucks with safety precautions.
• Diagnose malfunctions using electronic diagnostic equipment and wiring diagrams.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and identify remaining issues.
• Diagnose and replace parts, valves, bearings, assemblies, including heating and A/C components.
• Apply knowledge of diesel emissions and diagnostics to repair issues.
• Ensure parts meet factory specifications by verifying clearances and dimensions.
• Support and advise team members on repair-related matters.
