Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Master Level Diesel Technician in Garner, North Carolina. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $35.50 and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days, with schedule Mon-Fri and evening shifts.

You will perform advanced vehicle maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, operate diagnostics, and mentor junior technicians. CDL within 6 months is required, with training and advancement opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must perform all T3 tasks and advanced repairs
• Effective interpersonal communication required
• Must obtain CDL within 6 months
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be available for shift work, weekends and on-call
• ASE certification(s) preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical/electronic problems
• Operate diagnostic test equipment and shop software
• Coach/mentor other technicians and advise on repairs
• Road test vehicles and assess performance after service
• Coordinate with customers/drivers to determine issues and solutions
• Support location fleet maintenance and safety compliance
