Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including preventative maintenance
• Three years or more relevant work experience preferred
• CDL Class A preferred and other certifications as required by location

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
• Works with Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Ensures compliance with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines
