Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to service our fleet of state-of-the-art trucks. Under supervision, you will repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis and refuse bodies, electrical and hydraulic systems, and HVAC components.

You will diagnose complex issues, perform repairs on engines, brakes, suspensions, and drive trains, and support our drivers to keep routes running smoothly. Training on new technologies is provided, with a clear path for career growth.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform inspections/repairs with limited supervision.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL-B or higher license is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, and associated hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair engine, suspension, drive train, and braking systems on site and on the road.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and service aftertreatment systems as needed.
• Welding, fabrication, line maintenance, and adherence to training programs.
