Job summary
The City of Charlotte is hiring a Senior Diesel Technician for the 2nd shift to support its Fleet Management Division. You will diagnose and repair heavy trucks, sanitation vehicles and construction equipment, focusing on electronically controlled diesel engines and modern electrical systems.

Qualifications
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks, sanitation and construction equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and diagrams.
- Must pass background check and licensing requirements within timeframe.
Responsibilities
- Daily evaluation, inspection, diagnosis and repair of heavy truck fleet and equipment.
- Repair complex diesel engines, electrical, braking, hydraulics systems.
- Document work in fleet maintenance software and communicate with operations.
