Job summary

West Plains Inc. is seeking a Senior Diesel Service Technician to join our Beach, ND team. The role focuses on advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and ownership of service quality for farm equipment.

You will lead troubleshooting, perform maintenance, and mentor junior technicians while delivering dependable, high-quality service in a collaborative environment with strong safety and process standards.

Qualifications

5+ years of maintenance and repair experience on agricultural or heavy equipment.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and precision ag systems.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with the ability to work independently.
Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced maintenance, repairs, and reconditioning on farm equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and precision ag system repairs.
Independently analyze equipment issues and determine effective repair solutions.
Support and mentor junior technicians and share technical knowledge.
Follow service schedules while managing workflow and accuracy.
Document work in detailed reports and work orders.
