Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanic III to join our maintenance team in Longmont. This role focuses on advanced diesel and refrigeration repairs, electrical and hydraulic systems, and complex component overhauls. You will also weld, fabricate, and perform body repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Have a High School Diploma or GED. Tech School classes or college‑level equivalent training preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Five years documented fleet maintenance experience in tractor/trailer repair or equivalent.
• Possess a Valid Class C Drivers License; Class A preferred.
• ASE certifications in Medium/Heavy Truck Brakes and Suspension & Steering are required.
• Thermo King Advanced training in multi temp units is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Grade 4 and 5 Mechanic duties.
• Execute complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Repair refrigeration units, diesel engines, and components.
• Diagnose and repair braking, electrical, cooling, fuel, and suspension systems.
• Weld, fabricate, and perform body and frame repairs.
• Complete required paperwork and computer input.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and peers.
• Be trained and certified to operate required equipment within 30 days of hire.
