Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services in Macclenny, FL is seeking an experienced Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our fleet service team. You will diagnose and repair refrigeration units on trucks and trailers, using OEM software and multimeters to read codes and diagnose issues.

We offer a flexible schedule (3x12 or 4x10), second/third shift differentials, ASE certification pay, PTO from day one, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA contributions and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Own toolbox with necessary tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and refrigerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration units on trucks and trailers.
• Use OEM software to diagnose issues, read and clear codes.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics; perform electrical diagnostics with a multimeter.
• Program microprocessors and use refrigerant reclaiming equipment.
• Service truck systems: cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension.
• Perform PMs and DOT inspections; roadside service when needed.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Must possess or obtain a toolbox and required tools
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems

What You'll Do:

Repair minor and major issues of refrigeration units and the ability to diagnose problems with the units which included but not limited to:

• Use of OEM software to diagnose issues, read codes, clear codes, download
• Ability to read refrigerant unit wiring diagrams and wiring schematics
• Ability to use multi-meter to perform electrical diagnostics
• Ability to program microprocessor
• Proper use of reclaiming machine to recover and recycle refrigerant
• Proficient in soldering all types of joints and tubes
• Servicing truck systems - cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension
• Performing PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
• Repairing ABS systems, APU units, and trailer structures
• Roadside service, tire repairs, and equipment cleaning
• Operates company and customer vehicles, forklifts, hoists and tools
• Maintaining accurate repair times and a clean workspace
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
