Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services is seeking a reliable Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our fleet service team in Macclenny, FL. Repair refrigeration units, diagnose issues, read wiring diagrams, and use OEM software to troubleshoot problems.

This on-site role offers flexible shifts (3x12 or 4x10), $2/hour differential for 2nd/3rd shifts, ASE certification pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA contributions, life and LTD insurance, and 401(k) with

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must possess or obtain a toolbox and required tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair refrigeration units and diagnose problems using OEM software.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics; perform electrical diagnostics with a multimeter.
• Program microprocessors and operate refrigerant reclaiming equipment.
• Solder joints and tubes; service truck systems including cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes and suspension.
• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers; provide roadside service when needed.
• Maintain accurate repair times and a clean workspace.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license

What You'll Do:

Repair minor and major issues of refrigeration units and the ability to diagnose problems with the units which included but not limited to:

• Use of OEM software to diagnose issues, read codes, clear codes, download
• Ability to read refrigerant unit wiring diagrams and wiring schematics
• Ability to use multi-meter to perform electrical diagnostics
• Ability to program microprocessor
• Proper use of reclaiming machine to recover and recycle refrigerant
• Proficient in soldering all types of joints and tubes
• Servicing truck systems - cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension
• Performing PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
• Repairing ABS systems, APU units, and trailer structures
• Roadside service, tire repairs, and equipment cleaning
• Operates company and customer vehicles, forklifts, hoists and tools
• Maintaining accurate repair times and a clean workspace
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
