Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Reefer Technician to service, diagnose, and repair refrigerated transport equipment and fleet vehicles in Colton, CA.

You will use OEM software and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot issues, perform electrical diagnostics with a multimeter, and ensure high-quality repairs. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Obtain a toolbox and the required tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair minor and major issues of refrigeration units and diagnose problems.
• Use OEM software to diagnose issues, read and clear codes, and download data.
• Read refrigerant unit wiring diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Use a multimeter to perform electrical diagnostics.
• Program microprocessors and properly use reclaiming equipment.
• Service truck systems—cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension; perform PMs and DOT inspections.
• Repair ABS systems, APU units, and trailer structures; provide roadside service and equipment cleaning.

What You’ll Do

Repair minor and major issues of refrigeration units and the ability to diagnose problems with the units which included but not limited to:

• Use of OEM software to diagnose issues, read codes, clear codes, download
• Ability to read refrigerant unit wiring diagrams and wiring schematics
• Ability to use multi-meter to perform electrical diagnostics
• Ability to program microprocessor
• Proper use of reclaiming machine to recover and recycle refrigerant
• Proficient in soldering all types of joints and tubes

• Servicing truck systems — cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension
• Performing PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
• Repairing ABS systems, APU units, and trailer structures
• Roadside service, tire repairs, and equipment cleaning
• Operates company and customer vehicles, forklifts, hoists and tools
• Maintaining accurate repair times and a clean workspace
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
