Job summary
Waste Pro is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to service our Mount Holly, NC truck fleet, including heavy- and light-duty diesel and CNG vehicles. You will diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems using factory manuals and diagnostic tools.
We offer ASE certification reimbursement, a monthly tool allowance up to $80, and a Master Technician Achievement Bonus to support career growth, along with health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k plan.
Qualifications
- Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
- Repair and inspect electrical and hydraulic systems in trucks.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks per DVIR.
- Assist and guide junior technicians as needed.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs to maximize uptime.
- Communicates with drivers/managers about vehicle issues and preventive measures.
- Completes all required paperwork accurately and timely.
- Maintains clean, safe work area and follows safety policies.
