Job summary

Twin Towing in Belleville, New Jersey is seeking a seasoned Diesel Mechanic to maintain our diverse fleet of light and heavy‑duty tow trucks, tractors, and trailers. This full‑time role rewards hands‑on technicians who take pride in workmanship and safety, with opportunities to work on a range of equipment and systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, including lighting and wiring, welding and fabrication, and use computer diagnostic tools to interpret error

Qualifications

• Extensive diesel mechanic experience with light and heavy equipment.
• Own a personal set of tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Welding and fabrication skills with a safety‑first approach.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and interpreting error codes.
• Able to perform physical tasks including lifting as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and document routine maintenance.
• Diagnostics: identify malfunctions and perform repairs with precision.
• Repair lighting systems and wiring to meet safety standards.
• Welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment.
• Use computer diagnostics to interpret error codes and system alerts.
