Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in New Jersey seeks experienced diesel technicians to repair and inspect Class 6-8 trucks and trailers on-site at customer locations. You will manage maintenance schedules, complete DOT inspections, and handle parts procurement while documenting labor hours on a company device.

We value self-motivation, strong organization, good communication, and the ability to work extended hours including weekends. CDL preferred and tool ownership are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience.
• 1 year of performing DOT inspections required.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Reefer repair experience a plus.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
