Job summary

WM is seeking a Senior Mechanic Technician in Mesa, AZ to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of vehicles and mechanical equipment under limited supervision. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and the use of your own tools to meet standards.

You will document work, service calls, and parts usage, train junior staff, and ensure repairs are completed within standard repair times. A strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years as a mechanic technician working on heavy equipment or similar role in a diesel, automotive, construction, or industrial setting.
• 3 years inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and stationary equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the country of location.
• Driver's License valid upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Communicate directions and specifications clearly to team members.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Document work and parts usage with accurate records in fleet maintenance software.
• Test vehicle systems and adjust as needed to ensure proper function and efficiency.
