Job summary

Transdev in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an experienced A-Level Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across our fleet. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and longevity of diesel-powered assets at 405 North 79th Ave, Phoenix.

Starting pay is $35.46 per hour with ASE cert bonuses and master ASE enhancements. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, medical/dental/vision coverage after 90 days, life insurance, 401k, and company holidays. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic's Tool Set
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical per DOT Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repairs on diesel engines.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
