Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair of complex equipment with limited supervision. You will travel to customer sites when needed and mentor junior technicians, while maintaining accurate documentation and promoting exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge
• Excellent customer service and teamwork
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a range of rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site service when required; keep vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training of lower-level technicians as needed.
• Document work orders accurately in a timely manner.
• Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
